My Baby's Lullaby - Written August 2001

God keep my baby safe, protect her from all harm

And in the morning when she wakes, let it find her in my arms.

For every day she grows, let me be the only love she knows

And keep her out of trouble’s way, cause I’ll pray she’ll be a lady someday.

Through my road called life I’ve had so many turns.

My heart has suffered the deepest wounds and burns.

I pray as my baby grows in time,

That the she doesn’t have a road as hard as mine.

Lord watch over everything she does,

cause from her I’ve learned the deepest love.

God Keep my baby safe, protect her from all harm

And in the morning when she wakes, let it find her, safe, and in my arms.
